Yoga Yeppoon with Charlotte!

I teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga in the heart of the coastal town, Yeppoon. Vinyasa Flow Yoga is the infusion of grace  and effortless flow on the wave of the breath. Postures flow smoothly in and out of each other integrating breath, strength, flexibility, calmness and movement. All classes have a traditional and spiritual approach with a philosophy that your Yoga practice flows from the mat into your daily life.


Yoga is not only good for our physical health and strength, it is essential to help create a sense of inner peace and awareness into the deeper layers of your body and self. Yoga can be a therapeutic tool to relieve anxious and depressive states and or helping you release negative emotional states that become locked or stored in our body.


Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is an ancient Yogic Practice that is becoming popular as a form of mind and body therapy. It is a systematic form of guided relaxation where the body sleeps and the mind remains awake. In psychology, the state acheived in Yoga Nidra is termed the "hypnogogic state", a state between sleep and wakefulness. Yoga Nidra is restorative, healing and rejuvenating. Yoga Nidra based techniques including iRest are now being researched and utilised as a method to help those suffering trauma and other anxiety related difficulties. Yoga Nidra is practiced at the end of each Yoga class or as a stand alone practice.


Pranayama

The practice of controlling our breath. When our breath flows freely, continuously, smooth & steady, the mind remains calm. Through various breathing techniques we can experience a reduction of fear, uncertainty and other negative states. The breath is considered  a source of Prana or vital life force.


Yoga also means community. A beautiful practice where like minded souls develop a greater sense of connection and a sense of belonging.


Classes

Currently I am only teaching one class per week as I have decided to take some time to practice what I teach...and bring more stillness into my life :)
